It is important to understand that every major hurricane or tropical storm is unique and differs in severity and magnitude. The potential for catastrophic damage also depends on its location. With this in mind, it is equally important to know every state has its own protocols, emergency plans, evacuation routes & zones, as well as contact lists.
Having this information prior to a major storm affecting a specific area is essential.
